Adelaide Zombie Walk

The Adelaide Zombie Walk is a FREE, all ages, family friendly annual event held in October.

The event is in Rundle Park and open to ALL ages. Event kicks off at 3pm, best dressed at 5pm, walk begins at 7pm with the event coming to it's close around 9pm. There will be a huge selection of food vendors and variety stalls, plenty of activities for the kids, giveaways, competitions, DJ and more!

NOTE: this is not an ESCC event but members might like to take advantage of the photographic opportunities .

Photo Shoot at Laratinga Wetlands

Meet in the Laratinga Wetlands carpark at 10:30 am. Signs are on the freeway near Mount Barker to guide you there if it is your first visit. The car park is on Bald Hills Road - see the map. These are large wetlands with walking trails, and lots of bird life and nearby cafes!! Bring your camera gear for landscape, birds, flowers, macro, whatever takes your fancy.

Adelaide Steampunk Festival

Join the exciting 2018 Adelaide Steampunk Festival held over two days at the National Railway Museum, Port Adelaide. The Festival will be on the Weekend of the 15th & 16th of September 2018. The focus of the Adelaide Steampunk Festival is on the family friendly fun, whimsical and creative aspects of steampunk including live music, improv theatre, costumes and a market street of food vendors, artists and merchants peddling their wares.

NOTE: This not an ESCC event but it’s your opportunity to shoot some “unusual” portraits.

Oscar Night

All members are invited to the competition for the weekend away images.
The rules are the same as previous years this being:

  • 4 Digital images (1900x1200 2mb) same as club comps.

  • The images are to be uploaded via the club photo comp system

  • Images are to be identified with File name and Title

  • A special 4 Image OSCAR comp will be set up on the club website

    • Closing date is Sunday the 14th July (same day as the Club mid year lunch)

    • Comp date Saturday the 20th July 2019.

    • Scoring by “people’s choice” vote.

Weekend Away: Port Augusta

Our base will be the Port Augusta Discovery Park. E mail portaugusta@discoveryparks.com.au. Telephone 08 8642 2974. Located at Cnr Highway One & Stokes Terrace, Port Augusta, SA 5700.

This location will give access to many interesting and varied photo opportunities including the Arid Lands Botanical Garden, Wadlata Outback Centre, Pitchi Ritchi Railway and Royal Flying Doctor Service tours (not available Saturday and Sunday). Nearby towns include Port Pirie, Melrose, Wilmington, Quorn and Whyalla. The location also gives access to the Souther Flinders, desert landscapes, mangroves, shorelines, open water, salt pans, industrial sites, etc. etc.

Outing and photo shoot
The Goolwa Wooden Boat Festival will provide subject matter for this practical outing. Meet at 10:30 am at Hector’s on the Wharf. These outings are a lot of fun and an opportunity to make images for the Club Activities category in competitions, including the Annual Exhibition.
